Holiday Season Kicks off at the West Coast Christmas Show

On December 2-4, 2011, the 4th Annual West Coast Christmas Show and Marketplace launches the start of the 2011 Holiday Season at the TRADEX Trade and Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford. The West Coast Christmas Show is Western Canada's foremost Holiday season show, bringing together products, food, personal services, seminars, and presentations to assist visitors with getting into the spirit and discovering new gift ideas.

Nearly two hundred companies will offer an array of goods such as toys, candles, skincare products, cashmere scarves, handbags, designer accessories, games, and more. Handmade candies, vinegars, dressings, honey, and more items by artisan crafters are only a sampling of the huge variety of hard-to-find products that visitors will discover at the show. Watch for the Select Artisan sign for assurance of quality artisan and crafter products throughout the show.

Entertaining and home decorating ideas are presented on the Home for the Holidays Stage by interior decorators and local chefs. The Festival of Trees, created by local charitable organizations, will have uniquely decorated Christmas tree displays, providing a grand entrance display. Entertainment is provided by wandering carol singers and a variety of musicians on the Sounds of the Holidays Stage, and of course Santa Claus will be on hand each day to pose for pictures with the family; be sure to bring your own cameras.
Returning again this year is the Gingerbread Chalet Competition created by students of Rick Hanson Secondary School. There will be over three-dozen chalets, creating a village around a gingerbread reproduction of the school.

Also returning will be the popular Dairy Farmers of Canada Cheese Seminar Stage, where visitors sample a variety of cheeses from across the country to learn how to put together a wine and cheese party. Seminars run throughout the weekend. For tickets and more information, visit www.westcoastchristmasshow.com.
